Site of the World's Fair in 1974, Riverfront Park's 100 acres of land are a fabulous combination of Washington's natural beauty, historical mementos and modern culture. The Spokane Falls Skyride runs passengers on a short, scenic trip over the waterfall and past historic buildings while the arcing waters of the Rotary Fountain are a favorite summertime play area for children. The IMAX Theatre shows both thrilling Blockbuster films and fantastically produced educational films while the 1909 Looff Carousel lets kids experience the old-fashioned joy of a carousel ride. Set in the heart of the city by the Columbia River, the park is close to the Mobius Kids children's museum.
