Spread over 90 lovely acres of Spokane, Manito Park and Botanical Gardens was first built in 1913 and is best known for its fantastic gardens. The Gaiser Conservatory shelters brilliantly colored tropical plants while outdoor gardens like the Nishinomiya Japanese Garden, Duncan Garden and Rose Hill display plants ranging from 150 rose varieties to lilacs to water-based plant species. The park is about a mile south of downtown, past the Sacred Heart Medical Center.
